The Innovative Manufacturing in Africa (IMA) Project, part of the Research and Innovation Systems for Africa (RISA) and funded by the UKaid through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, is a one-year project that will support research and innovation capabilities in the hardware maker innovation ecosystem in Kenya, Ghana and South Africa.
During this project, the awardees will engage in research capacity to show their impacts, participate into a distributed production, develop common indicators and participate in Business Models activities.
The recipients of this award have demonstrated leadership, spaces and programs focusing on supporting Women and Girls in STEAM/STEAM, and other underrepresented groups as identified in the GESI statement.
