OKH for the open microscopy community

Hi all,
I recently recommended the use of the OKH standard as a route to include open source microscopy designs in the https://microscopydb.io database that is then displayed around the world on websites of the bioimaging scientific community. I would like to discuss with you, how we could feed projects with the #microscopy tag to this database, or maybe even launch the crawler on their servers? I have little understanding of the technicalities behind these or alternative approaches. I found these API options already: https://standards.internetofproduction.org/pub/3riyj1x4/release/1 Do you think OKH is the best format for this community or would you recommend alternatives (I am not aware of any).

Hi, thanks for reaching out. And apologies for the late answer. This project’s community is on legacy.

OKH is meant to describe hardware building and documentation. For the crawling of projects and data, there’s another initiative called the Open-Know-Where, with a set of Pipelines, that can be used to get you the data needed from multiple online resources.

Check more information at: https://map.internetofproduction.org
and GitHub - iop-alliance/okw_data_management: This repository contains Jupyter notebooks designed for the collection and analysis of machinery and facilities data. The notebooks cover a range of topics, including data acquisition processes, machinery cataloging, and map visualization.
