Join us Tue Feb 28 for a discussion of OKF and Valueflows

Join us for an exciting community call on Knowledge Frameworks and Vocabularies that support the exchange of resources in networks that facilitate distributed manufacturing. Our guest speakers, Lynn Foster and James Butler will share their insights on initiatives that support open supply chain ecosystems.

Lynn Foster will discuss her work with Valueflows, a vocabulary that supports coordinating economic resources in networks. She will highlight the importance of having a common language to improve communication and collaboration in distributed manufacturing networks.

James Butler will discuss his work with the Open Knowledge Framework (OKF) Visual Vocabulary and how it can help articulate dynamic supply chain requests. He will explain how the OKF visual vocabulary provides a standard for describing and visualizing supply chain data that can enhance transparency and efficiency.

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the role of knowledge frameworks and vocabularies in supporting distributed manufacturing. Join us for the community call scheduled from 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM UTC. It promises to be a thought-provoking and insightful discussion with two leading experts in the field.

We had a great conversation during yesterday’s Monthly Community Call, which featured community updates, and guest speakers Lynn Foster and James Butler who shared their work on initiatives that support open supply chain ecosystems.

Lynn Foster (http://mikorizal.org/) presented her work on Valueflows, a vocabulary that supports coordination of the creation, distribution, and exchange of economic resources in economic networks.

James Butler (https://helpfulengineering.org) discussed his work with the Open Knowledge Framework (OKF) Visual Vocabulary and provided an overview of how it can help articulate a dynamic supply chain request.

For those who were able to join us for the call, thank you for a lively conversation! For those who were not able to attend, we have the following available:

To keep the conversation going, we invite you to join the conversation on our Community Forum, where we will be posting regular updates on our research, work with various projects, and posing questions for community input.
