Circular Economy Call for proposal by the European Commission

As discussed in the finance&funding task force yesterday (27.6.22), the European Commission has launched a call for proposal (CFP) for sustainability action projects, including on Circular Economy.

  • The link to the CFP is here.
  • The application deadline is October 4th.
  • The aim is to facilitate the transition toward a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, energy-efficient/climate-resilient economy and toward a toxic-free environment as well as to protect, restore and improve the quality of the environment.

My first thought is that there are a lot of relevant keywords in the CFP, particularly around the topic of materials (product passport, repair, replace). I see the IoP and the IoPA as a relevant consortium partner to work on metadata standards that could underpin programs for circular economy.
